St. Mary, Star of the Sea School
Why St. Mary's?
St. Mary’s offers a rich educational experience fully integrated within the wisdom, tradition, and values of the Roman Catholic Church. Working in close cooperation with our parents, we provide an educational program that fosters the physical, emotional, moral, and intellectual development necessary for our children to reach the fullness of their human potential.
Our students attend a variety of high schools, both public and private, and have experienced great success upon graduation from St. Mary’s. This success is a testament to the high quality of the educational program at St. Mary’s and is a positive reflection on the families of our school community. At St. Mary’s, we have created a culture of learning and moral responsibility that we are confident will serve our students throughout their lives.
We invite you to come by for a visit and to see our students, talk with our faculty, and look more closely at our academic program.
It Takes a Big Heart to Help Shape Little Minds!
St. Mary's has the best team of all, teachers and staff together make a well oiled machine that keeps our school moving forward.
Our dedicated teachers work hard each day to provide our students with the education they deserve. Our teachers understand each student's unique gifts and help them achieve their goals by nurturing both their minds and souls.
We invite you to visit each class to learn more about our teachers and our programs. Visit our school's classes.
Our Church’s Food Pantry Needs your Help!
St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church operates a Food Pantry that donates grocery bags to families in need of a little help each month. Our Thanksgiving pantry bags will be delivered on Saturday, November 20, 2021, and we want to fill them up with Thanksgiving essentials.
This Monday, November 8th - Friday, November 12th, the school will host a Thanksgiving food drive!
Box of Stuffing
Jar of Gravy
Canned Green Beans
Corn Bread Mix
Instant Mashed Potatoes
We gladly accept all non-perishable food items, and will take items that do not expire until the end of November 2021 or after. Please consider grabbing a few items during your next grocery shopping trip and send them with your student.
Thank you for your support of the Feed My People Ministry! The bags are packed and distributed at the parish the 4th Saturday of the month - with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas when they are distributed the Saturday before the holiday. If you know a family in need, please have them sign up at the church office (just a name and contact phone # is required). We couldn’t complete this ministry without the support of the parish, and the school.
